Description

In the present arrangement for two pianos, the solo part was left unchanged and is identical with the version in the NMA. Notes printed in small type reflect readings from the first edition, notes printed in the smallest type are editorial. The piano arrangement adheres to the original orchestral score. Detailed information regarding the origin and history of the work and its sources as well as the editorial principles of the NMA are found in the Vorwort and Kritischer Bericht of NMA V 15 8.
